Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger post traumatic events. One goal is to help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing.

The rate for a single session is $120, regardless of the number attendees. Joshua Williams Counseling doesn’t bill insurance for the cost of counseling services and is considered an Out of Network provider. However, you may be entitled to reimbursement by your insurance company for part of the cost. 

Most clients benefit from a short-term treatment approach (typically around 12-15 sessions, spread between weekly, bi-weekly and eventually monthly appointments). Sessions are 50 minutes in length. Multiple sessions scheduled together are encouraged. More can be accomplished in "back to back" sessions than in two or more single sessions scheduled days apart. Dr. Williams maximizes your time together by creating an environment for clients to heal.  Measurable goals, assessments, and homework assignments between appointments may also be employed, Feedback from clients concerning progress is frequent and highly valued. 

In simple terms, temperament is the inborn (not genetic, i.e., brown hair, blue eyes, etc.) part of person that determines how he/she reacts to people, places and things. In short, it is how people interact with their environment and the world around them. Temperament pinpoints our perception of ourselves and the people who love us. It is also a determining factor in how well we handle the stresses and pressures of life. Understanding temperament is the mechanism by which a person is given the ability to find balance between body, soul and spirit, allowing him/her to be the best that he/she was created to be.
